We had so much fun at the first workshop, the Arts Center asked me back a second session of the Gelli Printmaking Workshop. Set in the beautiful Esther Webster Gallery, you'll find inspiration in the surrounding sculpture park and from the abundant array of materials I'll be sharing.
Gelli printing is an innovative way to create vibrant, one of a kind prints called monoprints. Using gel plates, acrylic paints and paper, the Gelli printing process allows beginners and advanced art makers alike to produce striking and beautiful works. Many painters use gelli prints to establish a ground for their paintings. Others like me cut them up to use as collage material. Still others love to use them to make cards or handmade books.
You'll learn a variety of different printing techniques and have time to complete at least 1 finished print that you can use in any number of ways.
*If you attended a previous workshop with me or other printmaking classes, you are welcome to come and further your practice and perhaps even learn a few new techniques!
