The Souvenir series began with simple baguette wrappers collected in Paris. These wrappers, once containers for something delicious, became containers for memories. The thin, almost translucent brown paper sparked a new collage process. Working with a limited palette of dark tan (from the wrappers), white, titanium buff, and indigo, I incorporated fragments of the wrappers' text alongside vintage papers containing poetry. The shapes in each piece flow rhythmically, much like memories weaving through time, layering the past into the present.

Paris Papers 2 is custom framed in a beautiful cherry wood float frame. The frame measures 13” x 13.5" and is signed on back and wired for hanging.
